Happy to bee oasis

Adopted the first Beehive, ‘Alveare Diego’, rendering Happy to bee an ambassador to bees

‘Diego’ and is located at the Apicoltura Allegri Luca on the Costa di Tivegna in Liguria, the bees produce Millefiori honey, 1100 bees.

The wonderful thing is that both the beekeeper and I can follow the hive live with the 3Bee application, monitor their condition through 3Bee technology’s sensors; weight, growth, internal temperature, internal humidity, the outside temperature, the sound, the battery. Thanks to the beekeeper who uploads photos and videos and sounds, I am also a part of this story.

In order to better understand their history, I thought I’d follow and document its evolution from the beginning of this January until today

January 23 Nourishment with 1 kg of candied fruit, family control
January 23 check the winter cluster, seen up above the frames
19 February Considerable pollen import, denotes the presence of brood, anti-varroa treatment done

27 February plum trees in bloom, bees very appreciative, given half a kg of candied fruit to bees on seven frames
13 March, capped brood and fresh brood were seen, pollen imported
March 20 The wax foundation sheet was inserted, placed between the last spare frame and the first one of the brood, and they ate all of the candied fruit
26 March, two brood frames were brought up over the double honeycomb, to make room for the nest and avoid swarming.
2 April the brood frames were checked to see if they had made royal cells, protection of bees overseen
On April 2, despite the cold weather, nectar was imported
